Some Peoples Obsession with “False Flags”

Saturday 1422 – 27th April 2013

Ok hold on everybody as I can feel a bit of a rage coming on.

Be yourself

I met a man last year who became a friend. We share a passion against injustice and for making the world a better place for each and every inhabitant of this extraordinary planet. He lives for most of the time in L.A which is probably enough to addle anyone’s brains.  ( not that I am suggesting his brains are addled you understand!)

The photo above is of a cat I photographed in Mallorca recently and I added the words for him..  he is very much himself; decidedly a one-off.  He inspired me to live more in the moment and rekindled my need to be more of an activist.

So where does the rage come in. Well this week he wrote on his blog about the media and how they are always trying to “sell” you something which I completely agree with, but then he posted a link to a video .

This video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=qNsnCVuE2C4  which shows how actors, who are amputees, are used by the US military to train soldiers in mock battles to aid realism.  Horrible! The amputees are bloodied up to make it look as though they have just lost their limbs in battle. The video is labelled  “Amputee actors help make Boston Marathon Bombing Hoax look real! ”

The video is nothing to do with the Boston Marathon bombing.

The person who posted the video makes a comment below ( well a lot of comments actually )  “This is a video clip havf8 used to help convince me of the lies being told about the Boston Marathon Bombing and the actors who helped make it seem so real.”  and there are lots of other links to video clips of the event with commentary, none of which is at all convincing.

The individual who posted it has posted many similar videos

I am no lover of the American Government and their warmongering ways,  which it’s said requires a war every 10 years to keep it’s arms industry going and yes I think they are highly manipulative but I do not believe every time something like the Boston bombing happens it’s a “False Flag”. ( definition at the end of this piece) In other words that the US Government orchestrated and organised the Boston bombing.

My friend, who I know to be a seeker of truth, seems to be easily taken in by the frankly sometimes ridiculous videos and theories that abound after such an incident . ( I have watched many and read much over the past weeks) This surprises and saddens me very much because the work he does in exposing truth and encouraging others to wake up to what is really happening in the world is important and I believe he discredits that ( certainly in my eyes) by associating himself with people like the man who posted the video above.

If a person wants to believe that everything is a conspiracy by the government then he/she will seek out others who think the same and opinions can always be found that will “fit” as information can be interpreted and misinterpreted at will. Do your own research but you will find opinions and “proof” online that every domestic incident of terrorism, shootings etc has been orchestrated by the government to keep America in fear. I don’t think there is any need to do that as I’m sure Americans are already in enough fear caused by the financial crisis – manipulation enough there by the government?

Personally I believe there are people who have a grudge against America ( really against the American Government?) ) because of the way it has set itself up as the policeman of the world, that thinks it knows what is best for every country in the world.

Why is it so impossible to believe that individuals might commit crimes like the Boston bombing? or the Sandy Hook school shootings?   It doesn’t seem impossible to me at all.

I say let’s get on with the real business of highlighting poverty, fighting against real injustice and for peace. We must keep our minds open and flexible…

The internet is a wonderful invention but real care needs to be taken in how you sift through the information and misinformation you find there and remember just because it’s on the internet doesn’t mean it’s right or real!

we all live in the centre of our own reality ( used)

Definition of False FlagFalse flag (or black flag) describes covert military or paramilitary operations designed to deceive in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities, groups or nations than those who actually planned and executed them. Operations carried during peace-time by civilian organisations, as well as covert government agencies, may by extension be called false flag operations if they seek to hide the real organisation behind an operation.”

  1. There are times we weep for a nation torn a by violence impossible to understand. We have failed as a nation at many levels, one of those failures is to create lasting peace, We are a target for discontent, for enemies abroad due to our constant interference, our constant ‘manifest destiny’ warmongering. We are a target for enemies within, those fired by fear, prejudice and the daily bombardment of ‘information’ from those who want to gin up their tendency toward violence.

I don’t for an instant believe we have False Flags, not 9/11, not Oklahoma, not Atlanta and not Boston. What we have are acts of terror by individuals or groups of individuals responding to their own pathos for violence for their own reasons.

We have an industrial military complex that weighs us down with their cost to keep us safe. We have a nation seeped in fear.

Thank you for your comment Valentine. I cannot be so certain that false flags are never used. It is well documented that they have been used throughout history to instill fear and gain control of hearts and minds so it’s certainly not impossible that they are being used today. In fact I think sadly it is highly likely. We must each try to be the change we want to see in the world.

I stand behind my post http://tunnelmental.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/the-war-for-truth-continues/
I did not make the video that I provide a link to at the end. I am not responsible for its title comments etc. or the inflammatory and speculative (to say the least) links to the tragedy of the Boston Marathon bombing. The video itself showed the amount of effort that unscrupulous people will go to in order to desensitize others in order to exert control. My post was more to do with the title and self written content of it, “the war for truth continues” and the ease with which the mainstream media reports “what you see” without much regard for truth and justice. Another reason for the video link I provided was to highlight the growth of work by “crisis actors” in Los Angeles and Southern California. Many people gravitate towards Los Angeles in search of celebrity or stardom and that draw is sadly growing. I have to say at his point though, Los Angeles and Southern California is absolutely beautiful with many brilliant and real people living here. It is the industry that dominates it that is, in my opinion “very dark” around the edges and always has been. There are way too many references to site here, Hollywood Babylon is as real today as it was when people’s ego’s were manipulated in it’s so-called glory days. I believe, if anything, it is more insipid today, there was an element of experimentation and niavete that was present in the early days of Hollywood. To say, I am jaded by what I have witnessed by working and living in the home of the “entertainment industry” is indeed an understatement. When the brilliant and incisive Frank Zappa stated “Government is the Entertainment division of the military-industrial complex.” He was not kidding. It may now be that the “entertainment industry” is the propaganda division of governments. Again, there are many brilliant and beautiful people who live and work in that industry.
As a footnote to this post (in response to the “obsession with false flags”) comment that was aimed at me by the amazing photographer and brilliant human being Helen. I have no such obsession. I make music and art that I love. I make a simple living creating illusions for the big and small screen and use that meagre income to fund that art. I live simply and love freely. My goals are set and re-set constantly as I learn more about myself and the world in which I live and breathe. I love everybody and understand few. I intend to make this world a better world for my children. My possibly “nieve belief” is that my search for truth may help me, help them. Love and peace are still my weapons.

Thank you for this most fulsome reponse to my post Nigel. The obsession with false flags was not aimed at you specifically but to all those who choose to dissect every incident and make of it something which it, more often than not, clearly is not. I believe that to be dangerous, as I believe most extremism is.
Words are very powerful and, as I said, I agreed with what you had written but accompanying it with the link you did was I think a mistake because of the comments etc associated with it.. There were many others to be found of exactly the same scenario with amputees “playing victims for military training”, just as gruesome and vile.
Keep on keeping on. Love and peace..

It’s probably impossible to have anything but a dim understanding of events as complex as the bombing in Boston. However, we’ve all probably seen examples of injustice, inhumanity, and violence face-to-face and in the moment. Having the courage to “let peace begin with me” and live a life that is not motivated by fear is a good place to begin activism, whatever country you happen to live in. 🙂
